Best Affordable Makeup Products

Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite affordable makeup products with maybe a sneaky haircare or skincare product too. Whilst my makeup collection does leave me spoilt for choice, on a daily basis I have no shame in reaching for my trusty affordable products. The products I have listed here are great quality and the fact they won’t break the budget is a bonus.

Garnier BB Cream – Despite having a dry skin type I personally love the oily/combo formula the best. For me, it gives great coverage and applies beautifully with a brush or beauty sponge. It seems to hide the imperfections whilst allowing the skin to glow and look just like skin.

*Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – Is a new(ish) product for me however from my first application I was hooked. If you follow me on Instagram you would know that I recently had an IPL treatment on my skin and during the healing time the pigmentation that was treated darkened. This foundation covered extremely well for me without looking cakey. It has a beautiful dewy finish and holds on my skin better than some of my more high-end foundations.

*NYX Strobe of Genius Highlight Palette – This is still one of my go to affordable highlights. I find the formula very bendable and shine these give can compare, if not better than some of my more expensive highlighters.

*Essano Coconut Milk Hydrating Leave-in Conditioner – A new one for me but I just can’t seem to put to down. It’s been a life saver in Lani’s hair too, her hair is super long and very prone to knots. Mainly because she hates having it brushed but just applying a small amount to her hair after washing really helps keep those tangles at bay. I also love that this product can be used on dry hair too for a refresh between washes. I do find a little goes a long way and it is easy to go heavy handed.

*Loreal Botanicals Camelina Shampoo & Conditioner – Again these two are new to my haircare rotation and I am really loving them both. I can be a little bit of a brand snob with my hair care but these have impressed me. Containing no parabens, silicones and colourants to ensure a safe and clean formulation. There are 4 pillars of the Botanicals range, catering to individuals hair needs. I have been using the Camelina range which it set to target frizzy, unruly hair. This is something I do not have however I have found the shampoo and conditioner to be working well, with my hair looking shiny and feeling soft.

Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge – I have been such a fan of the Real Techniques brushes and beauty sponges since well basically forever. Of course these are great to have in the bathroom when your makeup. They work great for blending concealer in smaller areas and imperfections as well as applying concealer under the eyes but what I love most about these little guys is that they are so small you can pop one into your bag for on the go touchups. I am very prone to creasing under my eyes and around my mouth and I am easily able to touch up these areas quickly.

Rimmel Fix & Protect Primer – Is very hydrating and keeps my makeup in place all day. It also has an SPF25

NYX Dark Circle Corrector – Is extremely comparable if not better than the Bobbi Brown corrector. The formula of this one is a lot thinner in consistancy but will crease on me. I find just applying a small amount to the worst areas under eyes works best.

Simple Makeup Look In Under 12 Minutes

Model Rock Lashes – This brand would probably have to be my favourite lash brand to date. These lashes are weightless to wear and also have a  small band so they look natural on the eyes and easy to apply.

Essence Make Me Brow – A great affordable alternative to the Gimme brow. I personally can’t see a difference in both formulas. To me, they are exactly the same.

*Platinum Beauty Makeup Brushes – I am such a fan of these brushes and I use mine daily. They are so soft and look very luxe. I find they blend any products on my skin evenly and easily.

NYX Makeup Setting Spray – This packaging is a great compact size, the pump spray applies to the skin evenly and doesn’t leave big wet droplets. My makeup is kepy fresh and in place all day. I have tried both the Matte and Dewy formulas and love them both.

Klorane Dry Shampoo – I know there are more affordable dry shampoo’s on the market but I do really love this one. I find that when used correctly doesn’t leave my hair feeling powdery or look grey.

Hurraw Lip Balm –
Feels light on the lips and gives a beautiful shine.

*LeTan Self Tanning Foam – Only needs to be left on for 90 minutes before showering gives a beautiful glow to the skin.
